Oseetah Lake Family Home

Oseetah's shore is dotted with summer camps, and mountain views can be had in all directions. Here you see McKenzie (with the double peak). Little Haystack is just to the right, in front of Whiteface (in nearby Wilmington) in the distance. McKenzie and Little Haystack are two of the local hikes available right here in Ray Brook. Bald Eagles have been nesting across the bay for a decade or so. They can often be seen soaring and fishing, and it is wonderful to watch the youngsters fledge and mature. There are very strict laws about approaching the nest, but they have been viewable from out dock every summer. (NYS photo.) Click this image to open larger file.

Playing on the Picnic Rocks. These are just down the shore and communally accessible property for all. We boat there all the time, and there is a path from the road just a short distance from our driveway. They are shown here at low water, although the big rocks in the foreground are always well above water. Click for larger image.
